Want to serve our organization?
First Presbyterial Board is seeking a vice-president for the upcoming year. Please be in prayer for God's guidance. Contact a Board member for more information if you feel God calling you to serve in this capacity.
We invite you to serve Jesus by taking on a leadership role as an officer of First Presbyterial. Additionally, there are opportunities to volunteer your time and effort in organizing events and providing support for our honored Jubilee Birthday Ladies. We hope you’ll prayerfully consider how you can get involved!
The heart of First Presbyterial is to encourage and equip our community of women to minister together for God’s glory. We’re looking for servant-leaders to join our leadership team and help guide our ministry efforts. In these roles, you’ll have the opportunity to use your gifts to spiritually invest in other women, organize meaningful events, and support fellow sisters in Christ. Stepping into leadership allows you to grow in your faith while making an eternal impact. If you feel led to explore a leadership role, we’d love to hear from you! We’re excited to see how God will use your faithful leadership!
Volunteering allows you to use your God-given gifts to encourage others and support the ministries of First Presbyterial. Whether you share your creativity in planning or serving at an event, we invite you to use your time and talents to partner with us. Even a few hours of your time is a blessing in the lives of women in our denomination and community.
The Jubilee Birthday Fund and Celebration was established by the ARP Woman’s Synodical Union in 1925, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the commissioning of the first ARP missionary, Miss Mary Galloway, in 1875. The word “jubilee” came from Leviticus 25:11: “The fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you.”
This award is presented to an ARP man or woman who has given long-standing service to his or her local, Presbyterial, and denominational church. He or she epitomizes being a servant of Christ by their love and dedicated service to the ARP Church. If you would like to nominate someone for the 2023 Julia Hardeman Rhodes award, please submit the form by May 1, 2024 and send it to Vicki Marsh, vcmarsh1414@gmail.com.
